Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Took our guests, the Sheehy’s; on a wonderful tour of Glen Aherlow.  This spectacular valley within the Galtee Mountains in County Tipperary.  Glenculloo Cottage guests enjoyed a visit to the secret holy wells in this glen, during the tour.

Gardening at Glenculloo Cottage

My favorite part about having Glenculloo Cottage, is its rural location in the Glenculloo Valley, fronting the Mulkear River.  An amazing opportunity for me to use my green thumb abilities, well.  Pink flowers I arranged hang above the door, welcoming guests to Glenculloo Cottage.  Won’t you join us for some afternoon tea?

The old stone barn gets dressed-up with a basket of pink flowers at Glenculloo Cottage.  So many wonderful wild flowers growing along the Mulkear River and in the Glenculloo Valley in Ireland.

I love a turf fire, and enjoyed a glass of Irish whiskey while gazing at the flames.  Wish you were all here with me, at Glenculloo Cottage.
