"I've always liked it here. Part of me is Irish. . . . My family comes from the west coast, so whenever I come to Ireland I get a wee tingling in my heart that I'm where I belong."

Reservations & Policies

Guest satisfaction and comfort are our first priorities at Glenculloo Cottage. We strive to create an unforgettable experience and to exceed your expectations. We always welcome suggestions and constructive advice about how we can better meet your needs and expand our services. Every guest reservation is important and special to us, so please understand that our policies reflect the realities of managing a unique and intimate B&B business. Thus, last-minute cancellations can affect us significantly. Reservations are typically made 8-24 months in advance, and because we exclusively cater to one group at a time, other inquiries are declined for the dates of your intended stay. If for any reason you are worried about having to cancel, we recommend you purchase travel insurance through a third party for your own financial protection.

A deposit of $1000.00 is required at the time of booking to reserve your stay at Glenculloo Cottage. This entire deposit is non-refundable when you are within 6 months of the first day of your reserved stay. For example, if you are booking for an arrival on July 1, 2010, your deposit is non-refundable after January 1, 2010.

Guests arriving after or departing before their reserved dates, or those who fail to show for any reason, are responsible for the cost of their entire reserved stay.

Cancellations must be made by speaking with us in person, via telephone, or an acknowledged email. Voice mail (answering machine) messages do not constitute cancellation confirmation. We will be happy to return your deposit when applicable, less a $25 administrative fee.

Bookings

There is a 6 night/2 person minimum booking policy at Glenculloo Cottage.

Smoking

Glenculloo Cottage maintains an exclusively non-smoking environment. Failure to respect this policy and smoking in the cottage during your stay will result in a minimum charge of $300 for dry cleaning the premises.

Children

The cottage accommodations are appropriate for children 12 years and older, this implying full parental supervision at all times. The location of Glenculloo Cottage in rural Ireland, and its proximity to many "working farms" and the Mulkear River, do not make it suitable for young children. Glenculloo Cottage takes no responsibility for injuries incurred during your stay. We make every effort to provide a safe and enjoyable environment, but understandably, sheep, cows, wild mountain goats, and the unpredictability of the rural landscape are out of our immediate control.

Pets

Although we love animals, we cannot accept pets at Glenculloo Cottage.

Damage

We accept that accidents can occur. If you have an accident, please let us know at once so we can address the incident and minimize any permanent damage. Damage that has been concealed or found after departure will be charged at the cost of repair/replacement, plus any loss of income from inability to utilize the damaged accommodation.

Handicap/Special needs

We regret that we are not wheelchair accessible and stair climbing is required.

Internet Access

Due to our location in GlencullooValley, at the base of Keeper Hill and fronting the Mulkear River, we do not have access to a broadband internet connection. Dial-up connection is possible through the phone line. We can recommend a local internet café with high-speed internet access, copy, and fax capabilities.

Payment Options

We accept checks and credit cards. (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover)
Checks may be made payable to Clan Keegan LLC.
